Every man who does something, has against him those who would like to do the same thing, those who do precisely the opposite, and above all the great army of people, all the more severe as they do nothing at all.

Le COVID-19 est-il un âne ? :

FRANCE still doesn't have a vaccine, but it has ideas!

We want to believe in them and shout "COCORICO !" :

A team of researchers from the CNRS claims to have found an effective remedy to fight against COVID-19.and which could be available by the end of the year if they find the necessary funds, one million euros, to carry out the necessary tests on humans.

One million only to permanently remove our masks? To get back to the party? To kiss each other again? To cross your neighbors without leaving 15 meters behind?
If the public authorities and the pharmaceutical industry don't pay this derisory sum, we're going to find 1 million French people ready to pay 1 €, right?

This remedy would be none other than a nasal spray or a lozenge placed under the tongue that would deceive the virus! We'll skip over the details a little too scientific to retain only the essentials:
The COVID-19 virus is not that clever and a simple spray can block it.

WARNING : It doesn't kill it - (it's stupid but not too much!) - but it makes us immune.
     And that's the main thing!

Many of us were present, at the invitation of Audrey, CHRISTOPHE's last companion, for the inauguration of the plaque on the Désirade bridge. The singer lived on a boat, a real recording studio, at the foot of this bridge when he stayed in the lake city.

Christophe a PORT GRIMAUD

Parts of the Round Island, small boats, on which all the guests, some with a white rose in their hands, gathered at the foot of the bridge.
Small touching speeches, small accompanying music including of course, "Les mots bleus" as the veil, hiding the plate, was removed.

And back on dry land, the ceremony ended with a wine of honor, "the glass of friendship"...

I want to dream and believe that this bridge "Les Mots Bleus" will become a mythical place for all the lovers who will come and sit just above the plate to immortalize their love!

Maybe even, why not, that the hotel Giraglia, when it will reopen, or the Sufrène hotel, will propose "Venice in France" stays</b> for all these couples in full passion, with 2 days of hotel, meal at the water's edge, walk on the ese canals ending by the eternal selfie in front of the plate "Les mots bleus"...

Moderate vulnerability was yesterday but it didn't last: today, bad luck, the Var went into red zone as well as the Alpes-Maritimes.

It will be necessary to remain very careful and to respect without fail the gestures barriers...

Faced with the dangerous recrudescence of contaminated people at Covid-19 in Marseille and its suburbs, the Prefect has taken the decision, wise or not, to close bars and restaurants from 11 p.m. in the Bouches-du-Rhône. The reactions were obviously not long in coming:

Reaction from a restaurateur : "The main drawback is that it was announced at the last minute", as if this sudden and rapid upsurge warned a fortnight beforehand!!

Another more surprising reaction : that of the second deputy mayor of Marseilles, Samia Ghali, who describes the prefect's decision as "total hypocrisy" and "mere announcement effects". ... but who of course does not propose anything at all, to stem the contamination!

As for the President of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, Renaud Muselier, he would prefer that only bars and restaurants not complying with sanitary measures be closed, which would, of course, be much fairer...". Good students cannot be punished like bad students", he says.

While 11 departments, including the Bouches-du-Rhône, are classified as highly vulnerable according to 'Santé Publique France', the VAR, like 44 other departments, is classified as moderately vulnerable.

We must therefore continue to protect ourselves. It's almost the end of the vacations, the end of small parties with friends or night outings. And therefore the end of relaxation and carelessness...

Many will go back home with unfortunately a rather dangerous baggage: a contamination with Covid-19 and the epidemic may increase once back home.
It is necessary that these newly contaminated people face proof of responsibility and civic-mindedness to avoid contaminating their relatives, their colleagues at work or any person they might come across... And maybe we will have a tiny chance to avoid a new and important wave of contaminated people.

Easy to write! Not easy to wish for! And, why not, easy to achieve...

SUPER STAR :

He can be proud of our friend Vartan BERBERIAN since he is on the front page of VAR-MATIN !
It is true that his latest creation, new universal petanque balls, 99.9% balanced, will enchant all those who practice this sport.
Vartan's wish is to see pétanque entered in the next Olympic Games.

To achieve this, the boules used in the Olympics must have "the same size, weight and density" he explains.

And his new ball, the "VARTAN", meets all these conditions. Moreover, it exists in 3 versions: one for men, one for women and one for children. There is even a model for left-handed people because "according to its grooves, if you are left-handed or right-handed, you don't give the same effect to the ball". We had to think about it...

10 000 balls are already manufactured and marketed at the price of 280€ the triplet.

CHEVEUX anti-pollution ! :

What to do with all that hair on the floor, around the barber's chair when the barber is trying to free you from a too big or rebellious mane to give you a new head?
They are tons of hair of all kinds that would become useless if we grouped together all the cut strands of all the hairdressers in France.
In 2015, inspired by an American process, a hairdresser in Saint Zacharie had the idea of recovering them, treating them and using them as insulation but also as protection against hydrocarbon pollution!

Today, the port of Cavalaire is testing socks made with hair recovered from hairdressers, socks that allow better filtering of seawater from oil slicks:
One kg of hair can absorb 8 liters of hydrocarbon!

CORONAVIRUS toujours ! :

After the United Kingdom, which imposes a 14-day quarantine period on people arriving from France, it is Germany's turn, fearing a second wave of contamination, which places the Ile-de-France region and our Provence-Alpes-Côte-d'Azur region at risk. And we understand them!
All travelers returning from our region will have to submit to a screening test and observe about fourteen until the result is obtained. For several days now, the number of positive tests has increased sharply in Marseille and its region. Here, in the Var and in the Alpes Maritimess, if the progression of Covid is less catastrophic, our 2 regions remain worrying ...
Bad luck for all the Germans who had chosen our beautiful region !

The German government warns, on its website, against "tourist trips, not indispensable" to these regions.

This cursed virus has not finished polluting our existence, forcing us to remain on our guard by strictly maintaining barrier gestures and masking it on our faces.
The future is not looking good!

The singer CHRISTOPHE was a regular visitor to Port Grimaud and our place du Sud where his natural kindness made him appreciated by all.

It will be on Sunday, August 30th at 6pm with the inauguration of a plaque bearing his name, which will be placed on the Désirade bridge.
A wine of honour will follow! It will be possible to embark on small boats, bringing, if you can, a white rose (Christophe's favourite flower).

Triste date ! :

This Saturday, August 22nd, is a sad date! since it corresponds to the "day of overcoming", that is to say the day when humanity has just consumed the resources that the Earth can offer it for a year. And so, we are going to live on credit...

This "day of overtaking" is on the decline this year (it fell on 29 July last year), not because of a systemic change in our habits but because of the coronavirus pandemic that has 'slowed down' the global economy.

The planet has its limits in the face of ever-increasing human consumption. The NGO Global Footprint Network, which is behind this annual calculation, informs us that this year it would take "1.6 Earths to sustainably provide for the world's population"...

So, what are we eating today?

     Especially not fois gras!

The association L214 has just filed a complaint for "cruelty to animals, abandonment and damage to the environment" after discovering a new scandal in a family business manufacturing foie gras.

It should be noted that the operators deny certain photos published by the association despite the closure of an insalubrious building by the Prefecture and "total and immediate ban on operating it until it is brought up to standard" ...

Good news these days is always good news, so here it is:
